PLEASE NOTE: When changing name servers at the registrar, there will be 24-48 hours of DNS propagation time, where your website and email may not be available.
Option 1: Use Our Name Servers (preferred)
The recommended route for most customers is to use our name servers since they are automatically configured to work with your web hosting accounts.Step 1: Find Out Name Servers for Your Hosting Account
The first step would be to find out which name servers you should use for your hosting account. This varies by server and type of hosting. For instructions on how to find out your name servers, please read the article:What are my name servers?
Step 2: Changing Name Servers
If you did NOT purchase your domain from us, we are not able to change the name servers because we don't control the domain. Please contact the place where you bought the domain and ask how to make the name server updates. (Most domain registrars have a tool so you can do this yourself.) You will remove your registrar's current name servers and replace them with the name servers from your welcome email.PLEASE NOTE: e cannot provide direct support in modifying the DNS records at your registrar. Please contact your associated domain registrar for further assistance if you would like to update your A, MX, CNAME or other DNS records.
Option 2: Use Name Servers Elsewhere (advanced)
For some advanced users, it may be desirable to use different name servers. This requires more maintenance, since it is not automatically updated like our name servers are. For more details on how to do this, read the following article:How to Point my Domain when Using DNS Elsewhere
